1. Promotions Page. As previously discussed, Leadership requires a "Promotions" page to host the terms of any active promotions. As a reminder, our agreements limit promotions to once per year per platform and only for new subscribers. There are some exceptions for win-back promotions, but we can address that separately from this Samsung promotion. Leadership wants the Promotions page to show only terms for "active" promotions and Leadership wants Marketing to reach out to Legal before any promotion so that Legal can review terms/creative and provide updated terms (updated each time per promotion, even if we are running a repeatable promotion on the same platform) to be hosted on the Promotions page.

2. Samsung Terms. Attached is the first draft of the Samsung terms for your review. Please review and let me know if you have any questions or concerns. You will notice that the terms are consistent with those previously used for VIZIO and Target. Below is an explanation of each set of terms. 

 

  • Promotions Page Terms: These terms will be used on the Promotions page. Make sure the text for "Subscription Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy" is set up to be links to the applicable pages. 

  • Point of Purchase: The 1st Screen Masthead examples that were provided (specifically for Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Open Beta Weekend) show that there is a "Learn More" button. I assumed that clicking the "Learn More" button would direct the user to another screen with more details about the offer. Therefore, the Point of Purchase terms are meant to be the terms that the User would see if they were directed to the other screen containing more details. Let me know if that is not the case so we can meet to discuss further. 

  • Legal for 1st Screen Masthead ads: These terms will be used on the 1st Screen Masthead ads.

  • Legal for the Universal Guide ads: These terms will be used on the Universal Guide ads.
